Will an Obama campaign ad refocus the public on Mitt Romney's positions on women's reproductive rights? The 30-second TV spot running in eight states begins with a woman named Jenni saying that it's dangerous to be a woman these days and quickly moves to Romney's positions on insurance covering contraception, a woman's right to abortion, and his support of a bill that would outlaw abortion even in cases of rape or incest.
The Romney campaign calls the last claim false. The Obama campaign stands behind it. Politifact rates it "pants on fire" untrue, pointing out that the Obama campaign has presented nothing to prove that Romney has supported laws that would prohibit abortion in the case of rape or incest. They add that he has supported a "human life" amendment to the constitution.
